No. PuckPools is not a bookmaker, is not a gaming operator, and accepts no stake of any kind. It runs no contest, awards no prize and holds no money. It is an analysis tool for a pool you already play, with people you already know.
Which pool formats are supported?
Head-to-head points pools and season-long cumulative points pools are the ones the advice prices. Category pools are described and kept, but the assistant then declines to answer in points rather than show you a number in a currency your league does not use.
How do I enter my roster?
You paste it as text. One player per line, or commas, semicolons, tabs. Initials, bare surnames and ALL CAPS are matched. Nothing to install.
What if two players share a name?
We ask instead of guessing. You see each candidate's club, position and birth year, and you choose. Anything we cannot place is listed for you rather than dropped silently.
Is the salary cap handled?
Yes, for pools that run one. The draft board then shows each player's cap hit and what you have left to spend. For a pool with no cap the switch stays off and no dollar figure appears anywhere.
Where do the cap figures come from?
They are entered by hand, and every figure shown names its source when you hover it. Where we hold no figure for a player, the cell stays empty rather than showing an invented amount.
Is the app available in French?
French is the default, and everything is offered in English as well. You can switch language whenever you like, from the top bar or from your account.
Do I need a separate account?
No. PuckPools uses your Puck Picks account: one sign-in serves both products. PuckPools holds no password and processes no payment.
Is everything free?
The numbers are free: the projections, the draft board, player search, the standings and the calendar. Some features are part of a paid plan, sold and billed by Puck Picks. The free tier holds one pool.
Will PuckPools guarantee I win my pool?
No, and we claim it nowhere. Every projection is probabilistic and will be wrong a meaningful share of the time. A ranking is an order, not a promise that your team will score more. Past accuracy neither predicts nor guarantees future accuracy.
